Viqarunnisa noon school and College situated in Bailey road (Main campus/Branch), Dhaka one of the biggest girls educational institutions in Bangladesh. It has four branches and Bailey road campus is its main branch. It is a very big campus with five buildings, staffs and teachers colonies. Viqarunnisa Noon School has a glorious past. Wife of Firoz Khan Noon, Begum Viqarunnisa established this educational institution in 1952. Sir Feroz Khan Noon was the Indian High Commissioner in England. later he become the 7th Prime Minister of Pakistan.Begum Viqar-un-Nisa Hossain Noon married Sir Feroz Khan Noon in 1945. She was Austrian by birth and born in 1920.The Noons loved to do various social works. Viqarunnisa Noon School was of the best projects of the Noons.
Every year one thousands and two hundreds of students sit for the Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C) examination. This school has almost 20,000 students only in the school section and 363 well educated teachers provide their service to train up the students sincerely. The environment of Viqarunnisa noon school is very friendly and the education level is very high. Different kinds of workshops based on problems related to society are arranged by the students of this school. Actually various social works are done in this school. In twelve years between 1994 and 2006, Viqarunnisa Noon College took the 1st place in the combined merit list of the HSC examinations and 7 times. Students from various parts of Bangladesh come to study in this college.
